3. Resource development
Patricia Clark met with parents and teachers to discuss the SLC grant and grant-writing strategies. The following matrix illustrates the way Hillsdale will organize Resource Development:

4. Early College
Jeff is meeting with Linda Darling-Hammond at Stanford and with CSM President Mike Claire to continue discussion about an Early College program that would allow Hillsdale to offer up to 25 units of college credit to students before they graduate from Hillsdale. The Council approved a continuation of the conversation so that we can explore Early College options.
5. Arts and PE block grant and Arts grant
Yvonne discussed the grant and representatives of the departments and the council agreed that the Arts grant of approximately $15,000 would be divided roughly equally between visual arts, performing arts, and music, given the similarity in the numbers of students and the numbers of sections. Each request would be presented to SLC Council which would approve the purchase within the parameters of the grant.
