FIELD TRIP TO COLLEGE OF SAN MATEO FEATURING BROADCASTING, BUSINESS, CAD, COSMETOLOGY, DENTAL ASSISTING, ELECTRONICS, GRAPHICS, MULTIMEDIA, NURSING AND WELDING IS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12. SEE MRS. MERPORT FOR A FIELD TRIP FORM. HURRY, SEATS ARE LIMITED.

Today is the deadline to sign up for track. The sign up sheet is located outside of room #216. If you don’t have a current physical, please obtain a physical form from the health office and return is completed ASAP.

The Foster City Youth Advisory Committee is looking for bands to play at our annual band night fundraiser on April 4th. If you band is interested in playing, please drop off your demo by February 29th or contact Tiffany at the VIBE.

Attention! If you are interested in participating in the AMC Math Contest this year, come to Ms. Hwang’s room #248 today to register. The contest will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 27th during 3rd period.

Congratulations to the Hillsdale wrestlers who placed in the PAL Championships this past weekend. Mohsen Hesar Biharas took 3rd place at 191 lbs. and Victor Gaitan is your league champ at 217 lbs. for the JV team. Your varsity wrestlers took 4th place as a team. Seth Krakowsky took 3rd place at heavy weight, Evan Thodos with his first league title at 154 lbs. Sophomore Maisson Davis is also a league champion at 191 lbs. and Wade Vance won his 2nd league title and was voted most outstanding wrestler at 171 lbs. All three league champs Evan, Maisson, and Wade qualify to compete at the CCS Tournament. Evan is currently ranked 15th in CCS, Wade is currently ranked 4th in CCS, and Maisson is currently ranked 5th in CCS. Congratulations and good luck!

Attention all AP students- the deadline to pay for your AP tests is fast approaching. The cost is $84 for each test. Please see Mrs. Lawton in the main office to pay your fees or to discuss payment options. The initial deadline to pay for tests is Friday February 29.

Attention all creative artists and writers! The Creative Writing Club is accepting submissions for 2008 Soul of a Knight, Hillsdale’s premier literary arts magazine. This is a great chance for you to be published and to share your talent with the school. Please drop your submissions off in Mrs. Crockett’s mailbox or room 211. The deadline is Friday, Feb. 22nd.

On Wednesday night, Hillsdale’s Mock Trial team competed again against Aragon and Crystal Springs. The prosecution beat Aragon 105-95 and the defense beat Crystal Springs 104-96. The next match is the county semifinal against Mills in South San Francisco on Feb. 26.

Attention Creative Writing Club Members: There will be a creative writing club meeting on Tuesday during lunch in Mrs. Crockett’s room #211. Please come and be on time!
