· After an initial $500K federal grant in 2002 to begin Smaller Learning Community (SLC) preparation and implementation, awarded an additional $1.1 million federal grant in 2007 to further expand the SLC program
· In its 2008 annual ranking of high schools, Newsweek has profiled SRN [Stanford University’s School Redesign Network] partner Hillsdale High School as an exemplary small school.
· Partnerships with the Colleges of San Mateo and Cañada allow Hillsdale students to take college classes on the high school campus.
