Concurrent Enrollment: Classes of 2009 & 2010
Students who have completed 10th grade may enroll concurrently in courses at College of San Mateo, Cañada or Skyline Colleges if they meet conditions for enrollment in the class, have a GPA of at least 2.0, and if the parent, high school counselor and principal approve. College policy gives first priority for enrollment to college students; concurrently enrolled students are enrolled only if space is available.

College Connection (Concurrent Enrollment Program) applications are available in the Career Center or at http://www.collegeofsanmateo.edu/webpages/quicklink.asp?WebPgID=387.  Students must also submit a high school transcript – obtain it from Hillsdale’s Student Data Analyst, Mrs. Castro.

Fall classes will begin on August 18, 2008.   Spring classes begin January 20, 2009

At community colleges, you can prepare to transfer to 4-year institutions or train for the job market. Our local community colleges are especially successful at preparing students to transfer. They also offer excellent programs to prepare students for careers. Do you know which local community colleges offer programs in Cosmetology? Dental hygiene? Fire technology? Landscape management? Medical or dental assisting? Plumbing & pipefitting? Electrician? Office manager? Database management? Graphic arts? Auto repair?

Look for these programs and others offered by local community colleges:
San Mateo Community College District (College of San Mateo, Canada, Skyline): http://www.smccd.net/accounts/smccd/
Foothill-DeAnza Community College District (Foothill, De Anza): http://www.fhda.edu/
City College of San Francisco: http://www.ccsf.edu
Chabot College (Hayward): http://www.chabotcollege.edu/

You can research schools and apply on-line.  No access to a computer at home?  Use Career Center computers to research and apply.
